John was isolated from the people and places he loved. In this pandemic we’re all experiencing new levels of isolation. What do we do? What did the beloved disciple John do?
With all who were dearest to him out of reach (except for God) and while in extreme exile on the Greek island of Patmos, John wrote, “It was the Lord’s Day and I was worshipping in the Spirit” (Revelation 1:10). In isolation and dire circumstances John chose worship. Out of his isolation and worship came the powerful, image-packed, prophetic message of Revelation! John was in his mid-eighties. Led by the Spirit, he was unstoppable.
What’s stopping you? What’s stopping me?
I believe that our changed circumstances hold opportunities for our souls to encounter God and point the way for others. Our ministry has acted on that belief and we have forged new ways of reaching out in the name of Jesus, in and through this pandemic. We are fuelled onwards by volunteers and supporters who are unstoppable. Join in if you haven’t yet. Read each opportunity in this newsletter carefully and find your fit, led by the same Spirit of God who infused power in the words of the beloved disciple.
